Join the Ohio University Alumni Association and WOUB Public Media on Wednesday, August 17, at 6:30 p.m. for a virtual event that will go behind the scenes of WOUB’s new podcast "WHO Lies Beneath: The Asylum." The podcast will shed light on the mystery surrounding the cemeteries at the old Athens Lunatic Asylum in Southeast Ohio, now known as The Ridges.

Creators of the podcast, Cheri Russo, WOUB Community Engagement Manager; Doug McCabe, retired Ohio University Library Archivist; along with Adam Rich, WOUB Podcast Producer and Audio Supervisor; will talk through their process creating the podcast, share additional documentary footage, and take questions about the stories of the people who are buried under numbered tombstones.
