Akron Association of Ohio University Women - Ronald McDonald House Tour
Join members of the Akron Association of Ohio
University Women as they tour the recently expanded Ronald McDonald House of
Akron and donate materials they created and collected for the benefit of the
families staying at the house. Afterward, the group will head to Baxter's for
lunch. The tour begins at 11, and we'll meet for lunch at noon.
Ronald McDonald House (RMH) of Akron provides a home-away-from-home to families with children receiving treatment at Akron Children's Hospital. In February, the club created ten OU-themed fleece blankets to donate to RMH families.
RMH of Akron also collects pop tabs, recycles them, and uses the proceeds to benefit the House and the families who stay there. Each year, more than $3,000 is raised through the collection and recycling of pop tabs. In addition, the House also seeks the donations of sample-size toiletries (the size provided at hotels) to give to families who stay at the House for unexpected situations. If you have pop tabs or sample-size toiletries to contribute, please bring them.
For more information and to RSVP, please contact Ann Cousins at firstname.lastname@example.org or 630-388-8302. The deadline to RSVP is April 14, 2018.
