Southern Alumni Chapter - Southern Bobcats & Friends Spring Dinner
We would like to extend an invitation to
participate in the spring Southern Bobcats & Friends Dinner, an event
series sponsored by the Southern Alumni Chapter and the Ohio Alumni
Association. The Southern Bobcats & Friends Dinner is an event whose goal
is to strengthen the OHIO community by connecting students with alumni,
faculty, and community members. The dinner is free to all attendees, and open
to any OU-Southern student or alumni. Be sure to register for the dinner
quickly, because we have a limited number of open seats available (15)!
The dinner will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at The Depot Restaurant,
124 Bobby Bare Blvd, Ironton, Ohio 45638. Dinner will begin at 6:00pm. Be sure to register because there are only 15 seats available.
The spring 2018 hostess is Dr. Miki Crawford. She has been a lifelong resident in the tri-state area and she gained her first degree as a non-traditional student attending classes in Ironton at the Ohio University Southern Campus. Her master’s degree in Communication Arts was obtained from Marshall University and her PhD was earned at Ohio University. She is a first generation graduate. Over the past twenty years, Dr. Crawford has taught a variety of courses and is currently teaching Technical and Applied Studies and Communication Studies courses. She also serves as the advisor for Technical and Applied Studies.
The Southern Bobcats & Friends Dinner was launched by the OU Southern Alumni Chapter in 2015. It is a tradition that continues to grow each year. The idea is simple: attend a dinner with students, faculty, community members, and alumni to share a good meal, good conversation and a good time.
