Alpha Phi Alpha - Phi Chapter: 100th Networking in Cleveland
In 2019, Phi Chapter will
celebrate 100 years: 100 years of Brotherhood, 100 years of service, and 100
years of transforming Ohio University. Throughout the centennial year, we will
honor the generations of Alpha brother’s academic excellence, community engagement,
and uncompromising progressiveness.
On October 26, 2017, the Phi Chapter Alumni 100th planning committee will host our second Phi Chapter 100th Networking event in Cleveland at Bar Louie, Legacy Village.
A lasting honor for our chapter is the plan to secure a naming opportunity on campus that will honor Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Phi Chapter. Naming a space will be a source of pride, not only to us as brothers, but also to all Ohio University alumni. A committee of your brothers is spearheading this effort, and hopefully you will consider being a part of this exciting project.
While our experiences throughout the generations have differed, no one will dispute the positive impact of our fraternity on the community of Athens and Ohio University. Phi Chapter was one of the first African American student organizations on campus, as well the first historically Black fraternity on campus. Throughout the years, Phi Chapter has lived the National Fraternity’s motto of First of All, Servants of All, We Shall Transcend All. A naming opportunity on campus will ensure that our legacy of “First of All….” continues to inspire current and future Ohio University students.
To reach this goal, we must raise a minimum of $25,000 and we ask you to join our efforts by attending at least one fundraiser/networking social. Attending one of our events will allow us to raise awareness and funds for our centennial celebration.
Please RSVP below by October 23. For questions, please contact Brother Sherman Lee via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
